GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Jan. 9, 2014)---The Engines and Power Products Division of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. is strengthening its OEM sales operations with the addition of two OEM sales managers who will report to Tim Malinowski, senior sales manager-OEM sales.  Malinowski said that the appointments of Bryant Huyser and Darrell Hyde are effective immediately.

MARYVILLE, Mo.---Officials at Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A. and the Engine and Power Products Division of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. recently joined together at the Maryville, Mo. engine assembly plant to celebrate seven million engines having come off the facility’s production lines.  Executives recognized the accomplishment—achieved in less than 23 years—by pouring a bottle of champagne over an FX651V overhead valve v-twin engine.

Engines and Power Products Division has announced the hiring of Joe Butt to the position of district manager in the company’s sales organization.  Butt will be based in Cincinnati and have responsibility for a territory that includes Southern Ohio, Southern Indiana, Southern Illinois, Kentucky, West Virginia and western counties of Virginia.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Sept. 13, 2011)—Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. Engine and Power Products Division has named Garland (Gar) Allison to the position of district manager. 

Allison, who has been with Kawasaki for more than a year, recently held the title of OEM sales coordinator, working in the division’s Grand Rapids headquarters.  He will assume the primary dealer contact role in an area that includes Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and three counties in Illinois.

Engine and Power Products Division will begin rating its engines next month in accordance with SAE J2723. This marks a broad departure for the industry and Kawasaki officials believe this Critical Power rating will alleviate end user confusion over horsepower labeling and “usable” power.

(Oct. 28, 2010)—If durability is one of the standards by which engines are measured in the commercial lawn and garden industry, then Kawasaki has just upped the ante considerably.  The Engines and Power Products Division, based here, announced a 50 percent increase in the length of its warranty coverage for  all of its engine categories, effective with unit sales beginning Nov. 1, 2010.

Engines affected by this new warranty coverage are the FR, FS, and FX series, which totals 22 separate engines.

Stens, LLC, headquartered in Jasper, Ind., will become the distributor of Kawasaki-branded replacement engines and handheld power products to a network of more than 500 independent dealers in Canada.
