Kawasaki Launches New Website Supporting Engines And Power Products Business.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Oct. 9, 2008)--Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. has launched a totally new look for its heavily visited website (www.kawpower.com) covering the company’s engines and power products business. An updated, easy-to-navigate appearance for the website matches the look and feel of the division’s advertising and provides in-depth information on the company and its rapidly expanding product lines.

According to Rodger Howe, Director, Operations at Kawasaki, “the website is an integral tool in our marketing efforts and we’re constantly monitoring its usage so that we can project the right imagery and offer our prospective and existing customers a valuable service.”

Howe said this new version of the website is the most comprehensive effort the company has made to offer information that can be accessed quickly and easily. He said the format of the site encourages “drill down” by the user.

All of Kawasaki’s small engines and handheld power products receive extensive coverage and searches for information and product photos can be implemented in various ways. The site was developed to simplify the search function, allowing even the most inexperienced users to rapidly find what they are seeking.

Howe pointed to the example of someone looking for a particular engine for a specific application, and said the search could be initiated either through a “series search” that categorizes and explains the various Kawasaki engine series, or through a “model search” that segregates the company’s vertical shaft and horizontal shaft offerings.

Kawasaki has incorporated other helpful website components such as a Kawasaki Theater that makes high quality video information available and an Expert Tips section that is devoted to providing information to aid users interested in mowing, mulching, or general lawn care. Each of these categories is then subdivided with more details as the user drills down more deeply.

The website also provides a complete parts catalog, a press release bank, as well as a dealer locator.
